Although I sensed that the trend is to hire the person best for the job, unless they must have a specific, credential, permit, license etc., many employers would opt for the college degree candidate, with the idea that they are "getting the most for the money". This concept is misleading in that it may work for commodities, but seldom for people. Some of our best and hardest workers are high school graduates who appear to feel fortunate to have a good job that pays well. This was an informative read. Thank you.
